The Head Hunter is an independent film shot in Portugal on a shoestring budget of $30,000. The minimalist story is told through the eyes of a single character. Premiering at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain to a sold-out crowd, the movie won 7 awards from film festivals around the world.

The trailer racked up over 5 million views and debuted at #1 on iTunes Movie Trailers, ahead of Avengers: End Game, Toy Story 4, and John Wick 3. 

​

The film received a theatrical, VOD, and DVD release through Vertical Entertainment in April 2019. It opened as the #1 Horror Movie on iTunes. In December 2019, The Head Hunter became A Shudder Exclusive on their popular horror streaming service.
