PRODUCTION NOTES
Critters: Bounty Hunter was originally conceived as a visual pitch to land the directing job on a Warner Bros. reboot of the series and has since gone on to become a cult favorite for horror and Critters fans alike.
This short was completed from start to finish in under two months with a small budget and an even smaller crew. A total of six people worked on the movie: Jordan Downey, Kevin Stewart, Ricky Fosheim, Nick Soole, Troy Smith and Gina Luciani. It was shot over the course of two nights at a house in Mammoth Lakes, California. The Critter puppet was built by Troy Smith who worked with the filmmakers on the ThanksKilling series. The small crew handled everything from building the bounty hunter costume, learning the VFX required to pull off the glowing head, scoring, title cards, and sound design.
